Today, Tes speaks with Stephanie Lawrence. Stephanie is a nonprofit leader, fundraiser, and capacity builder with a passion for strengthening nonprofits’ organizational infrastructure, leadership, communities, and donor relations. After a decade at home full-time with her triplets and younger daughter, Stephanie successfully relaunched into the nonprofit workforce by crafting a personal strategic plan that included project-based volunteer experience, career development classwork and intentional volunteering. Wanting to help women coming up behind her, she founded her career advising practice Cause After A Pause to guide and support those looking for an appropriate and rewarding role in the nonprofit sector after a career break. She provides advising services, strategies, programs and workshops to career relaunches as well as those looking to move from the private sector into the nonprofit sector.
In addition to working with nonprofit sector relaunches, Stephanie currently serves as the Assistant Director of Brandeis University’s Women’s Studies Research Center. She holds a BA from Tufts University and an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
